Overview
Manney Transportation operates several trucking yards in Surrey and needed full surveillance and controlled access across its sites, built on the Ubiquiti UniFi platform and manageable remotely from one place.
The Challenge
Trucking yards are large, open, vehicle-heavy sites. They need wide camera coverage, license plate capture at gates, and secured access at doors and entry points - all monitored and managed across multiple yards without being on-site.
What We Did
- Installed UniFi cameras for full coverage across each yard
- Deployed LPR (license plate recognition) cameras to capture vehicles at gates and entrances
- Added AI cameras with facial and person detection
- Installed PTZ cameras for wide-area, controllable coverage
- Set up UniFi Access door controllers for secured, audited entry
- Ran the structured cabling for all cameras and access hardware
- Configured secure remote viewing and management through the UniFi mobile apps
- Tested and handed over a working system across every yard
Outcome
Manney Transportation gained unified surveillance and access control across its Surrey trucking yards - plate capture, AI detection, PTZ coverage, and secured doors - all monitored and managed remotely from one platform.
